America The Beautiful Pattern

Designed by Penny Haren for Cut Loose Press, America the Beautiful is the perfect holiday display for your home this summer. The red and white stripes are actually created with two different colorways of the traditional courthouse steps log cabin block. The star units are pieced from 1" finished half-square triangles using triangle paper, so accuracy is guaranteed. Soft and Stable by Annie enhances the machine quilting design and adds stability so it will hang perfectly flat.

Note: It is specifically designed to fit above the doorknob on a standard door. If you are hanging the flag vertically, the star portion should go on the observer’s left so add the long, striped rows to the right side of the starfield instead of the left.
