This 6½" x 12½" ruler from Creative Grids is a wonderful tool for fussy cutting, cutting half-square triangles, as well as squaring up flying geese units! This ruler also features the Turn-A-Round feature – designated by the easy to read numbers, and the 1/2" grip sides.  This ruler has gripper dots and gripper edges to help hold the ruler in place while cutting.

Creative Grids has become my go to for rulers. No need to buy another item to make them non-slip like most other rulers. They seem expensive but if you take care of them, they will last a long long time. I'm not sure when I bought my first CG ruler but the lines and numbers have NOT rubbed off which is important.
